Internet filtering and young people - an annotated bibliography
Abstract
Internet ‘filtering’, and the regulatory mechanisms supporting it, have become the subject of increasing interest to public policy makers as more governments investigate its uses, stimulating substantial international studies and a diverse literature including parliamentary records and extensive media and online coverage. The recent Australian Government proposal for an ISP-level web content filtering scheme, predicated on the perceived interests of young people in the online environment, is the main focus of this structured bibliography.
